No7 brush set

I'd been on the look out for a new (small) but complete make up brush set2, I find I never really use the lip brushes and I so rarely wear eyeshadow I wasn't too fussed about eye brushes, so am more interested in the face brushes.

After making the boyf listen to me drone on for a while, he comes home with the No7 brush set complete with zipped wallet!

He explained that it was on the Boots 3 for 2 so also picked up a new organiser for me and an eyeliner set for my daughter. Therefore, if I didnt love them theres no real waste and I get a chance to try out a brand I havent yet used.

The brush set was £20.00 from Boots

I havent yet tried them out but they feel very soft and lush, and I love the wallet, a gorgeous purple.

Have any of you tried the No7 brushes?
What do you think?!
What other brands would you recommend?!

Boots Mini Make up Haul

Hi guys :)

I popped into town today on a mission to pick up a new foundation, after debating whether to try out a pressed powder (which i have never used) I decided to stick to a liquid foundation as I know where I stand with those. So I popped  into Boots and had a little look and ended up coming out with a couple of bits, here is my little haul ;

 I decided to get a new foundation brush and have heard good things about  the real Techniques I got the base/flawless foundation brush

I picked up the No7 Stay Perfect Foundation in warm beige

 And the No7 Concealer Stick again in warm beige.

And bonus... Boots have a No7 promotion on at the moment, buy 2 No7 items and receive the No7 Perfect Lips Kit free!!

Here is what is in the kit;

No7 Stay Perfect Lipstick - Classic Rose, No7 High shine Lip Gloss - Smile, No7 Lip Brush

I cant wait to try out all my new goodies, and I'll be sure to post a review and pics when i use it all together.

Mid week mini pamper session :)

So tonight felt like the perfect night for a pamper,
we all get tied down and pre-occupied with kids, work, family life etc and as i've said before its very important to take some time out for yourself, even half an hour once a week can make a massive difference.

So tonight I decided to take half an hour for me!! :)

I made myself a cup of tea, ran a lovely hot bubble bath, and while waiting for it to fill I set to with the nightly facial cleanse:
First I massaged in the lovely Loreal '15 second miracle cleansing oil' to remove all my make up (which was minimal anyway),washed off thouroughly with a flannel,
I then massaged in the gorgeous smelling nspa 'melting cleansing gel', and used my No7 'Facial cleansing brush' all over my face and neck, again washed off thouroughy with flannel,
I then applied the SuperFacialist by Una Brennan  'rose hydrate intense moisture mask' smells divine this stuff does (who knew i liked the smell of roses?)
So far so good, face is cleansed and luxuriating in a new mask, so I hop in the bath and set to for the rest of me, after a quick soak I don my bright pink scrubbing gloves, lather up and manually exfoliate all over, I add a little of Soap & Glory's 'pulp friction body scrub' and go again, once satisfied I rinse off and decide to use the boyf's BullDog 'original shave gel' - well, he hasnt bothered using it and it was just sitting there, now I never normally use a shave gel, but thought i'd try it and see if it makes a difference, it does, it definitely does, this one is packed with essential oils and has a cooling/zingy effect when applied, smells fresh, not bad.
All defuzzed and exfoliated, its time to remove the mask, I soak my flannel and massage it off, it hasnt 'set' like most masks do, but has kept a firm, creamy texture, and removes easily, my skin definitely feels hydrated, after it being a little dry lately this is very welcome, and this mask will make its way into my weekly routine! ( I also use the rose hydrate calming creamy cleanser on rotation, love it!)
I round up by moisturising my body with my amazing tub of 100% pure coconut oil, utterly delicious stuff that works for literally EVERYTHING, apply my Rana Argan Oil to my face, then massage in Ila face oil (which contains only hand blended natural oils) and the smell is to die for i tell you!!! and top it off with LP Skin Therapy overnight replenishing cream, and for the hands L'occitane dry skin hand cream

So i'm now all cosied up in my PJ's and slipper socks, my skin feels amazingly soft and supple, and i feel ready for a lovely sleep!

So goodnight guys, hope you enjoyed this post!

Make time for you, be happy :)

No7 face brush review

I've been using my new Boots No7 face brush on a once daily basis for just under a week now and I have definitely noticed a difference in the look and feel of my skin, I have oily/combination skin and get quite bad dry patches on my cheeks.

How I use it;
I perform my 1st cleanse - L'Oréal 15 second miracle oil cleanser
Wash off with warm water and a flannel,
I then apply my second cleanser - nspa melting gel cleanser onto dry skin and use the face brush (on setting 1) all over my face and neck allowing the gel to work in fully, I then wash off with warm water and a flannel.

My skin has been feeling cleaner, firmer, softer and may I say 'healthier'
I have also been told it looks more radiant and clear and feels soft to touch.

Loving this accessory and will definitely be keeping it in my daily cleansing bag as a go to peice!
Every girl (and guy) should have one of these beauties

Happy cleansing

Todays Purchases - Skincare

I decided I needed (wanted) a sonic facial cleansing brush, the obvious choice would have been the Clarisonic, but they seemed a little out of my price range for a gadget I wanted to test!

examples;
Clarisonic Classic Pink @ FeelUnique.com being 155.00
Clarisonic Plus Carnival @ Clarisonic.co.uk being 179.00 I decided I'd look around for a cheaper but just as good alternative.

So today I visited my local friendly Boots, with the aim of ticking off a few more items from my SkinCare Wish list
After much online product reviews and umming & aahing, I decided I'd give this a go;

Boots No7 -Beautiful Skin
No7 Cleansing Brush at 24.95 and the chance to collect Advantage points, it seemed the best option to me, and my purse (the boys wallet) also agreed! :)

I was also able to cross off 2 more items from my wish list, being;

Una Brennan - Superfacialist -Rose Hydrate

Full Superfacialist range here, Boots are currently running a promotion with 1/3 off on selected Superfacialist items!!  Make the most of it :)

While in there I decided it was only fair of me to insist the boy has at least a minimal skin care routine. With just a little persuasion I got him to agree to a very simple routine of cleanse and moisturise (with dedicated facial cleanser and moisturisers and not just whats readily available to grab in the shower) Yay :)
so I decided I'd ease him in gently and picked up

Loreal Men Expert - Hydra Energetic see full range here

Not too bad for a quick pop into town, I'll let you know how I get on with my new products and of course how the boy gets on with his new routine!!

Happy Shopping, Happy Cleansing
